Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 8/14/26 Last Updated: 8/14/26
My College Fit List ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company") operates the website mycollegefitlist.com (the "Site") and provides personalized college volleyball recruiting research reports (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By purchasing the Service or submitting information through our intake form, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who This Policy Covers
Our customers are primarily parents and guardians ("you," "Customer") purchasing a research report on behalf of a student athlete ("Athlete"). This Site and Service are not directed at, and are not intended for use by, children under the age of 13.
If you are a parent or guardian submitting information about your child, you are representing that you have the authority to share that information with us on your child's behalf, and that you consent to our collection and use of it as described here.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information you provide directly
- At checkout (via Stripe): name, email address, billing information. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers — these are processed and stored by Stripe, our payment processor. See Stripe's own privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
- Through our intake form (Google Forms): parent/guardian name, email, and phone number; and athlete information including name, graduation year, position, physical measurables (height, standing reach, approach touch), academic information (GPA, SAT/ACT scores), club team, statistics, intended major, region and financial preferences, and target division. Some of this information may have been collected earlier in this process (for example, in materials you or your athlete's school provided directly to us) and may include information drawn from a school transcript you have chosen to share.
- Communications: if you email us, message us on social media, or otherwise contact us directly, we retain that correspondence.
b. Information collected automatically
- Standard web analytics (pages visited, general location by IP, browser/device type, referring site).
- Advertising and analytics cookies/pixels, including the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, which help us measure ad performance and, where enabled, show you or similar audiences relevant ads. See Section 6 for how to control this.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. The intake form is intended to be completed by a parent or guardian.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information collected to:
- Build and deliver the personalized recruiting research report you purchased;
- Process payment and send order confirmations and delivery updates;
- Communicate with you about your order, including guarantee/refund requests;
- Improve our research process and the Service generally;
- Send you marketing communications about our Service (you may opt out at any time — see Section 7); and
- Measure and improve our advertising (e.g., via the Meta Pixel), including building audiences of past customers or website visitors for retargeting, and finding new prospective customers with similar characteristics ("lookalike audiences"), in de-identified/aggregated form as provided by the ad platform.
We do not use athlete academic or physical information for any purpose other than producing your report, unless we ask for and receive your separate permission (for example, to use an anonymized success story in our marketing).
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the business, including:
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Google (intake form hosting, via Google Forms/Workspace)
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (advertising and analytics, via the Meta Pixel)
- Email/communication tools we use to deliver your report and respond to you
- As required by law, such as in response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our business, our customers, or others.
- In connection with a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy.
We do not share athlete-specific profile data (measurables, GPA, test scores, etc.) with colleges, coaches, or any third party as part of our research process — that data stays with us and is used solely to identify and evaluate potential program fits on your behalf. Any coach contact information included in your report is publicly available information we have researched, not data we have shared about your athlete.
5. Data Retention
We retain order and intake information for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver the Service, respond to guarantee/refund requests, and comply with our legal and tax obligations (typically no more than [1 year] after your order is completed), after which we delete or de-identify it. You may request earlier deletion — see Section 7.
6. Cookies and Advertising
Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta Pixel, to measure ad performance and personalize the ads you see on Meta platforms. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage the ads you see from us through your Meta/Facebook Ad Preferences settings at facebook.com/adpreferences.
7. Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing opt-out: every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email us at recruiter[at]mycollegefitlist.com.
- Access, correction, or deletion: you may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you or your athlete, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing recruiter[at]mycollegefitlist.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.
- California residents: if you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
Our Site and Service rely on third-party platforms (Stripe, Google Forms, Meta) that have their own privacy policies governing their handling of your information. We encourage you to review those policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites we link to.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be communicated via the Site or by email where appropriate.
